Bruntville is a relatively small township situated on the outskirts of Mooi River, KwaZulu- Natal, South Africa. The population is said to be 8 000 people according to Statistics South Africa and that would lead us to assume a dog population of one thousand. Bruntville was developed on a farm donated by the late Mrs Brunt. The township was subjected to political unrest in the later years of apartheid but has developed into a strong community.
